So a few months ago in Japan, I was wondering through the streets of Tokyo, specifically the Akihabara district and we found one of the biggest computer shopping plazas out there. There I found boxes of film for sale, specifically Fujifilm Velvia 100 and Kodak Portra 400. Due to the declining market for 35mm camera film, these classics have been discontinued worldwide and only are found in Japan, so imagine my surprise that I found a whole fridge of them.
So lo and behold I finally got a few rolls of these developed and i'll start with some photos from the family Christmas party from last year. Having been so long since the party happened and only receiving these photos a few weeks ago, it was definitely a treat getting back from the camera store. It felt almost like a delayed present. In today's world of instant upload on Facebook and Snapchat, it was nice to see it a few months on and really made me cherish the photos that came from that evening.
